Understanding is such a big part of patient to me because you have to understand people to connect to them. I do not like judging other people or criticizing them. I accept people for who they are no matter my beliefs and I constantly try to understand why they are the way they are. I grew up in a Christian home and rules were strictly set by the bible. As I grew older I formed my own opinions and my most substantial opinion is that race, size, gender, and religion do not define you as a person.
The third part of my definition is gentleness and calmness. I care for people with my whole heart no matter how they act. Caring with my whole heart has left a very big spot for little kids. I grew up in a daycare, with fifteen other kids, so gentleness and calmness were something I learned. Little kids don’t respond well to yelling so you have to be gentle and calm with them.
Last, art. Art is a big part of my life. I have always been very artistic but when my sister passed away it felt like I had a connection with her through my art. Being an artist all starts with a steady and gentle hand which both guide my patience. Taking my time on a piece of artwork can eliminate future mistakes or problems. In addition to that, being patient with my art has taught me how to handle my anxiety and has lead me in a positive way to continue doing my work. It has made me more committed to not only my artwork but also every task I take
