The night I unfortunately was removed from my family was the worst thing that could ever happen to me. It all happened so quickly; therefore, I couldn’t do anything to stop it! Thrashing and screaming, but I went down a fighter. The diversity of masks and distorted faces that watched me thrash the way through, whispering and bickering as I had been thrown into the middle of the crowd. The rain poured down as I sat there, shakily; my breath was heavy and unsteady, sounding really irritated. “WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?” I screamed, looking around at the crowd of masked people, rain flooding, also blurring my vision. More whispering, murmurs, and laughs rise from the crowd. In a willing attempt, I fight my way to get up, trying …show more content…
He is dressed nicely for being upon a lot of strange people wearing masks. I let out a shuddered breath, mostly out of anger. “So, you drag me away from my family and friends…Just to join you, MURDERERS!?” I asked, wailing the last part. The man sat there, seeming unfazed by my bickering. “I assure you, that we only kill those who are out to kill us…there is no need for the name calling.” he said after a long moment of silence, then clasping his hands together “You have a choice,” he paused, looking to the others “these people will kill you, or you join us…” he added on looking back to where I was, soaked, cold, nevertheless covered in scrapes and bruises from trying to fight and thrash. Sitting there, I couldn’t get my head on straight, for none of what this tall faceless man said made no sense to me. Thoughts of all the negative possibilities swirled through my mind about as fast as a race car going out on the track, let alone, made me feel really dizzy. What was even happening? All I know is that my heart was racing so fast, the thumps sounding like a horse, riding through the field, wild and free. “Well,” the faceless man broke the silence, but paused, noticing it caught my attention “What will it be, child? Will you join us?” he asked as I gasped, looking around. “But…Only if you have to catch me first!” I hollered, standing up before …show more content…
Slipping through the hands, traps, and arms of people trying to catch me. Something then clicked in my brain…where was I running to? I guess I’ll have to push myself and run as far as I can and find a place to hide. After hours of running, I made it to an abandoned cabin. The broken glass and the worn down logs of the building made me shiver in fear, but it was somewhere to hide. Slipping through the door silently, I hid in the dark area. Huff, huff was the sound of my breathing as I sat upon the cold wooden floor. I hear the footsteps of that creature’s army, and an occasional whistle or even a yell of “COME OUT, YOU CAN’T HIDE FOR LONG!” (which in my opinion made me giggle, because I wasn’t some girl straight out of a horror film). Slowly crawling under the window of the cabin to the other side of the room, I found a dry pair of clothes and some documents. I changed out of my wet pink pajamas and combed through my wet auburn hair with my fingers. Sitting on the floor, I look through the documents carefully. The front cover had my name on it, but when I opened it, it was some other kids in there from my school bullies to even my best friend and crush. I silently cried, hugging the papers to my chest while sliding down the wall. This can’t be happening, and especially to my own people being targeted, the ones who I have cared about…well- not the bullies. I don’t care what happens to those jerks, and when they will disappear too. A few minutes had
