A. Physical presence, body language, gestures, other nonverbal actions

II. Verbal Resistant
A. The officer will use verbal commands and then light physical contact as a means to de-escalate and control the situation.
1. The use of words shall precede any physical contact
III. Passive Resistant
A. This level involves pain compliance, takedowns, the use of handcuffs, the use of chemical agents
1. Any physical compliance will be attempted without the use of weapons
2. Handcuffs can be applied at this level of physical contact
3. Pepper spray or tear gas, if equipped
IV. Active Physical Resistant

I think an official statement needs to be made that security officials are acting on the best interests of the organization they serve and are not intentionally profiling any particular people. Regarding personal misconduct, private security companies could set up counselling sessions with the officers. Harassment may just be a manifestation of underlying prejudices or some hidden addiction. Or the company could implement some kind of online “complaint” forum and then at meetings, discuss issues that have consistently come
