Since I like to read books, there are bookshelves which look like the bookshelves from the movie Beauty and Beast in my study room. Each bookshelf is crammed with books which I collect in my whole life. Especially, the Harry Potter series, my favorites, are shelved in the middle of the bookshelf. My dressing room is neat and tidy, so I can dress up depending on my mood. Also, there are a living room and a dining room on the first floor. The big and comfortable sofas are in front of a television and beside sofas there is an authentic tea table where my family sits together and has an everyday conversation. The dining room and the kitchen are clean as a whistle and the floor was tiled in squares of black marble, which makes the dining room an exclusive restaurant. Moreover, I can hold a barbeque party in my backyard. There is a hammock hanging between tress in the backyard, so in summer, I can read a book there. However, although films are originated from books, there are differences between books and films as they have different characteristics. Firstly, the level of narration in the books and films are different. The various levels of narrations are used to describe stories or scenes in the book. In the book, readers can know what characters are thinking and talking and how they feel, which means books are told from the first person viewpoint, the third person view point and the omniscient viewpoint. On the other hand, films use narrators, but films can describe stories without a narrator as films can describe the scene by visual effect. Audience can see a character’s feeling or what is happening through visual images such as actors’ faces or backgrounds. Secondly, books encourage readers to imagine the background, characters’ appearances and every event in the book while films just show the image which a director created and imagined. People can illustrate the stories in their mind and give full scope to their imagination. They can express characters and background as they want. In contrast, people only watch the visual images on the screen. Audiences cannot image the background or characters because these are already made and set. Audiences see what a director wants to show and audiences feel what a director depicts. Thirdly, the time limitation is different. There is no time limitation on
