Over the past two and a half years since that meeting, I have an advanced mastery of Spanish, Italian, and Latin, and have begun studying Koine Greek. I completed an internship at the Crow Collection of Asian Art, observing and helping as exhibitions were designed, events were planned, and curriculum was developed. I was hired by plains Indian archaeologist Dr. Kacy Hollenback to work in her laboratory at SMU. I have been admitted to the Mohegan Archaeology Project field school for Summer 2017, and I will begin an Undergraduate Honors Thesis with Dr. Langin-Hooper in August. I have dedicated more than two years to this path, a career to which I am ready and willing to dedicate a whole lifetime.
I am a worthy recipient of this scholarship because I have the qualities that a career in archaeology requires. I am determined to reach my goals, and I am hungrily asking questions and looking for new opportunities and perspectives along the
