I was born on a sunny day in a dry season of 1993 in Mulago Hospital in Kampala a city with many hills covered with many trees and swamps in hill slopes. Kampala is in southern part of Uganda bordering the Africa’s largest “Lake Victoria.”
Uganda is agricultural land locked country found in East Africa bordered by Kenya in east, South Sudan in north, Democratic Republic of Congo in west, Rwanda in south west and Tanzania in South. These range of tribal groups features diverse practices, customs, languages, norms and values and other aspects that keep them unique from one another. Most of these tribes follow into four major groups. These include; Bantu speaking people who speak related languages e.g. Baganda, Banyankole, Basoga, Bakiga, Banyoro, Batooro etc and these dominate greater part of east, central and western Uganda; The Nilotics in northern Uganda e.g. Acholi, Longi, Alur, etc; the Sudanese in north west e.g. Madi-Moro, Mertu, Okebu, Nubietc; The Nilo-Hamites in north east e.g. Kalamajongs, Sebai etc lake Kyoga and river Nile acting as a boundary between Bantu people and these northern tribes.
