All my life i attended church. From the day i was born i went to church with my family. My perspective on religion as a young child was mostly about rules and learning about stories in the bible. I was pretty afraid to do certain things because i was afraid of what my family would think, because the church had expectations for certain things. I remember one time i colored my nails with a marker and i was afraid the pastors would see on Sunday for i shook their hand with my left hand, pretty funny to think about it now. She wanted me to go with her, but i was scared because of what my grandparents would say. I finally decided to try it out one day. When i got there everything was pretty cool and new, there was lots of modern things and lights and big screens and it felt pretty cool. I wasn't ready to try out the children's class yet because i didn't know anyone there and there was a lot more people there than my old church. My favorite part of the church was the music, I loved it. When i finally decided to go in to the children's class it was even better. They played a lot of cool games, and everyone was so nice and funny. The biggest thing was i earned how to apply what i learned to myself and connect with the stories in the bible in a real life way,instead of just hearing them, it gave me a much greater appreciation of them.Later that year i went to camp with the church and i felt a deeper connection and felt like i was really learning who Jesus was and that he was real and wasn't just a story in a
