It was late in the afternoon. My brothers were cheering me on before tip off. The centers got into jumping position. The referee through the ball into the air and our center tipped the ball to me. I dribbled the ball up the court and I dished it off to Jaylen, my best friend. He shot the ball at the three and splashed it. After several drives the half was over and it was halftime. Our coach pulled us to the bench to talk about the half. We were up 32-29. I had four points, 6 rebounds, and two assists. The problem I was facing was that I was in foul trouble with 3 fouls.
We finished our pep talk and went back on the court. They got the ball from the start of the half and threw down to the post, and their postman made the shot. With 1 minute left …show more content…

As we toured the high school I added “ This school is as big as a shoe factory.” Jaylen started to laugh.
After a few hours we were done looking around and the day was over.The next morning, I woke up and felt like a new person because I was going to High school. I walked into my bathroom and took a shower. I put on my nice clothes and my Jordan 7 shoes. Let me tell you a story about these shoes.
These shoes were given to me by my dad on my birthday when I was 6. They were a size 11 so I had to grow a little bit more until I got to wear them. When my dad gave them to me he left for a couple of days and then it turned into weeks, months, then years. When I was 10 I asked my mom “Where’s dad?”
She answered with, “He’s gone and dead. He died in a tank.” I cried for days and I didn’t leave that room until 2 days after which was 3rd grade.
This was my first day wearing them and I got a little teared eye, but the purpose of wearing these were for a good cause. I wear them in memory of my father for how hard he worked to help protect this
