When we got there I was not excited. I had always hated hospitals and I had never needed to stay in one. When we checked into the ER at the front desk we didn’t have to wait at all because there was only one other patient. He had a mustache that I thought suited him pretty well but my mom implied that she thought it looked silly. He also had an really interesting personally.
He asked us some questions. He then pushed down on my abdomen and it stopped hurting. Then he let go and it hurt even worse than before. He told us that when it hurts more after releasing pressure it called rebound tenderness and it is a symptom of an appendicitis. He said they were going to run some tests including a CT scan. My mom wasn't to happy about the CT because of the radiation. She tried to compromise with him but it did not work out.
The CT scan showed that my appendix was inflamed and told me I was going to need surgery. The surgeon came in and talked to us. They did the surgery laparoscopically. Through 3 small incisions and one in my belly button for a camera. The surgery went well it only took an hour. I woke up in the recovery room. I don't remember much but I do remember a kid was screaming. I pretty much just slept till the anesthesia completely wore off. I also don't remember when the surgeon came into my room and told us how the surgery went even though my mom said I was
