Instead, I met with a classmate one-on-one, which benefited me more instead of meeting with a group of people. We focused more on what I needed extra help on or what she needed extra help on. Not only did I have to make some changes with school, I had to make changes to my life in order to have enough time to study. I decided to tell my job that I couldn’t work for the next few weeks. I had worked every Saturday and Sunday for 8 hours a day. Allowing myself to take time off from work gave me the opportunity to dedicate myself make school my only focus. Unfortunately, this was still not enough to pass this quarter. I still needed 4 more points to pass. I had a rough start but finished the quarter strong. I believe that I have made great progress as a student and as a person throughout the quarter. If I got the chance to be re-admitted into the Nursing Program for Spring 2016, I would be more than honored. Next time, I would understand how to take NCLEX style tests, know what studying techniques are best for me, take N95 again, and I would even resign from my job in order for me to focus on school. I will apply everything that I have learned from Shannon, Gail, and Karen. I realize that I was not successful 1st quarter, but that doesn’t make me want to give up. In fact, it makes me want to try even harder than I did before. I know that remembering the feeling of how everything that I’ve worked so hard for all became crashing down will give me true motivation if I ever had a second chance to re-do 1st quarter.
