This was so they could possibly find more affordable housing. After doing so, my friend was able to find Greenbrier Apartments in Columbia, South Carolina. Surprised at how much cheaper these apartments were, my friend quickly applied for a space and was approved. Days later my friend began to face another dilemma. The person they originally planned to room with at Greenbrier Apartments had made other plans; leaving my friend to pay for an apartment they could not afford by themselves. Feeling hopeless, my friend began to feel they had no option but to move back home. This will require reorganizing my priorities. The greatest challenge I see moving forward into the program is being able to budget money wisely enough to suffice for the time period I will be unable to work. Funds will be limited, therefore, I will only need to spend money when necessary. Although I do not wish to postpone being employed, I realize this is necessary so I will be able to meet classes regularly, focus on assignments, and fully understand course material.
