A few weeks ago we got to sit down with a few people to talk about the future of human evolution. The first person we talked to was world renowned evolutionary physiologist Geoffrey Miller. Miller is an associate professor at the University of New Mexico, known for his prowess in sexual selection in human evolution. Miller also has a book out called ‘The Mating …show more content…
B; I’m good thank you, how are you?
INT; I’m good thanks. So to start off could you give an explanation of what exactly your theory is?
B; my theory is essentially that humans will achieve electronic immortality. I believe the human species as we know it will not reach a post human stage, I don’t believe any post human civilization will run a significant number of simulations of their evolutionary history, and lastly I belive the we most definatly are living in a computer simulation
INT; what kind of outcome would this create for the future human generations? What kind of inventions?
B; some things that will be seen merging into society are; cloning, genetic enhancement, robotics, artificial intelligence, and nanotecology. And those are just a frection of what kind of things will emerge. There will always be things we don’t know about the future but those things will be seen sooner than you think.
INT; what kind of complications would this pose in the far future?
B; theres always going to be speculations of complication when talking about something we have little control over, but the complications we understand will happen are issues like if you clone yourself then which one is really you? Who is married to your spouse? As for now those are some of the only things we can think
