Crohn’s Disease- Crohn’s is an inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation of the digestive system affecting anywhere from the mouth to the anus. It is a genetic disease caused by a combination of factors such as environmental, immune and bacterial. The most common symptoms of Crohn’s include abdominal pain, diarrhea, rectal bleeding, weight loss, and fever. Currently there is no cure although some people do experience remission for long periods of time. Studies indicate that patients suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohns find relief from chronic abdominal pain from smoking marijuana. Of course, once again, the potential side effects associated with the risk of smoking significantly limit the effectiveness of medicinal marijuana for treatment in the eyes of the medical
