The link between poverty or inequality and crimes is of global concern, since certain crimes has be linked to poverty and region with huge gap between the have and have not’s.Poverty.org state the fact this way, different types of poverty for different crimes (2013).

Form our previous study of globalization and development when considering the topic “the divide between developed and developing countries” with a focus on geography (Globalization101, n.d, p.3-4) we could easy see a correlation between resources reaching it peak for national sustenance and dominance beyond it national boundaries. Also from my study of Rodrik article, you can see how a combination of protectionism, governmental participation in the economy through subsides, public education, taxation of import, policy to promote local business and national sustenance, and internationals trade mainly through export has lead to rise of previously impoverished nation like Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia to a more stable economy (2012). “Finally, the evidence suggests that relying on trade or foreign investment alone is not enough to alleviate poverty. The poor need education, improved infrastructure, access to credit and the ability to relocate out of contracting sectors into expanding ones to take advantage of trade reforms,”(Nesvisky,
