However many people have just started riots and strikes and against schools and any government building just to try and get their point across (Baughman). This article makes sense because in the Pledge of Allegiance there is the saying “One Nation Under God” which makes many people angry into thinking that they have to change their religion in order to be accepted in this country. According to my research on this article, the wording that is used in the pledge makes it legal and illegal at the same time, because it goes against the First Amendment (Wilson). This article supports my point, because it talks about how school prayer is still existing in a way, but is definitely not enforced by any extent. The government states that the pledge is not trying to force a religion on anybody and is not forced to be said in schools.
