All the collected above information in this paper would be helpful if given to the patient, so one is able to make choices. The patient will be able to know what the adverse effects are compared to alternative medicine, or traditional (Physical therapy, ice, rest, compression, and anti- inflamotories) treatments. The patient would also be educated in the advantages of getting a cortisone shot to the afflicted area. One would also have a choice for alternative treatments for their joint problems before getting to a solution of administering a cortisone
