Participant
The target participant, a nine-year old boy, pseudonym AL, who has been diagnosed with ADHD, has been established as the focus for the Functional Behavior Assessment study. After receiving consent from the parent, it was determined that AL received the diagnosis of ADHD when he was six-years of age. AL attends third grade at an elementary located within his district. AL’s behaviors, like inattentiveness and impulsiveness, have negatively affected his interactions with peers and staff at school. The speech therapist pulls AL twice a week for 30-minute sessions where they work on pragmatic language. The school counselor also sees AL, once a week for 30 minutes, for social skills. AL is a typical developing nine-year old but
