A push factor is a negative factor of a region which forces the person to emigrate out of a region. There are many major and minor push factors but the most common push factor is war. These include: Better economics, healthier lifestyle and peace. In China, the bigger and wealthier cities (Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong) have many pull factors which attacks Chinese internal migrants. The majority of the internal migrants are the Chinese farmers who were displaced and how to find a place to work, so they immigrated into the city with the most pull factors. These people are called migrant laborers. The migrant workers move from the rural areas of China and into the bigger cities in order to get better job opportunities for themselves. The most common work field that these people engage in is construction and agriculture because both of these jobs are average paying and are always hiring new workers. Unfortunately, some of the workers are mistreated by their bosses and this creates a very negative working environment. On the other hand, there are some very reliable and well-paying companies such as the Shanghai Construction Group, which is the 16th largest construction company and built many of the skyscrapers in Shanghai. The rising population has created many new cheap paying jobs such as: cleaners, servants and drivers. However, the rising population requires much more resources for the people (food, water, shelter, etc.) which some of the areas in China may be lacking. Therefore, the rising population in China has impacted migration by forcing the people out of the rural areas and into the larger cities in order to look for resources and better paying jobs to feed themselves and their families (which most of the migrant workers has left behind in the rural areas). Unfortunately, it may be very hard to find well-paying jobs in the bigger cities if you have no working experience whatsoever, therefore, only some the migrant laborers are able to find a well-paying job and support their family.
