The Quad City Clown Troupe will host clown classes in June. The class spans nine days, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of each week. (June 14-16, 21-23, and 28-30). Rather than finish with a stage show, the graduation activity will be a walk-around for the Parks Department Red, White and Boom July celebration.
Registrations are handled through the Parks Department and the troupe will receive a substantial amount of the tuition paid by each student. The reason for walk-around graduation is a combination of the availability of our teaching room and the attempt to provide an activity that is the best available. Stage shows are great but in the past one show takes place and then the students have no mingling/walk-around experience.

The world will never be the same. The circus is one of the rare events that had an impact on everyone. I should not have to share all the details. But let me summarize by saying a lot of generations will never experience the sounds, amazement or laughter that the circus provided.
When you hear the term circus, most people vision two images. Elephants and the clowns. As clowns we need to keep that image alive. A clown does not understand prejudice. The clown never singles out anyone young or old. A clown just welcomes everyone with a smile and entertains. That is one of the most important postures we need today.
Arguments, personal agendas, bulling and aggressive dislikes do not exist in a clown’s world. We need to focus on positive qualities. Now, more than ever, there are areas that need a clown’s touch. Each opportunity we have to perform is one that will help keep the spirit of family entertainment alive.
There is a little circus in each one of us. The tent goes up and music starts in our mind as
