Differences across raters in the measurement processes and inconsistency in understanding of measurement results are two examples of sources of error variance in rating measurements. Having some clear process of interpretation in rating are essential for dependability in unclear or puzzling measurement situations. First of all, the researchers that are going to be part of the study have to know the characteristics of aggression. Aggressive behavior ranges from verbal mistreatment to physical abuse. It violates the boundaries of the victim, it can involve damaging personal properties, and it can at times be occasional outburst that could become frequent or in patterns. There are several things that cause someone to be aggressive, but in this case the study looks at kids who act aggressively after watching violence on television or playing video games. Normally, if a kid acts up aggressive towards other kids for no reason the first thing that can cause this is mental health.
