The classroom was large and well organized for each student to gain access to materials from the shelves. There are several displays of graphics on the walls and cabinets. To begin with, on the right is a graphic representation featuring a poster of the Bryce Canyon with national parks. The National Park of Grand Circle that outlines the Mesa Verde depicting the ancestral Pueblo people and their world of poetry in the stone showing the forces of weathering and erosion that share the crystalline blue sky and rock ablaze in the ruddy light of surprise. The décor was a light salmon in color, with framed artwork of famous poets arranged in various spaces on the walls. If assistance was needed, students would raise their hand and a staff member would come to them. The Students were able to move about the classroom environment at will, lie on the carpet to work, etc… and they do so without disturbing the work of their peers. This gives a social environment of how each student can be free to express his or her artistic ideas for anyone entering the room to see and make comments. The literacy material is where the students have a writing journal to grab from a label basket with each of the class period posted, literature books for each student on accessible book shelves, hand-out sheets, therasusar and dictionaries, as the students are at the same grade level.
The class got started with students being placed in small groups of four to a table to discuss the English topic on “Myths and Greek Gods.” The teacher did a read out-loud and the students were instructed to follow along highlighting the key ideas in each paragraphs, The teacher saw it was important to allow for processing time, speaking slowly, and assist the EL students by re-reading
