When I began reading Persepolis I had no idea what the book was about. While I was reading, I got lost in the story of Marjane as she was growing up in this country of regime changes. “I believe that an entire nation should not be judged by the wrongdoings of a few extremists.”(2) Being able to correct people about their misjudgments about anything a few extremists do makes you feel that you are teaching the current generation to critical think what else could be wrong about their judgments. This is why I enjoyed this book, because it corrected my misjudgment of Islam but also many others views of their politics, religion and extremists. In conclusion, I began off not knowing anything about this book, but in the end, I became enlightened of the correct view I should have on the Islamic people and be respectful of their religious practices. This book had no other agenda but to teach people the correct way of viewing a country rather than just summarizing their bad deeds and labeling them for it. This book doesn’t give you all the answers to achieve meta-level thinking. But this is just another step in order to see how the world will change with
