Intro
Government and religion in the modern universe has been changed completely, but what about ancient times? Ancient Islamic government and religion was odd, but amazing. Islam created it’s own government! The teachings of the Prophet, Muhammad, during the seventh century continues to impact not only religion but also government practices in the middle east today. The prophet, Muhammad, was designated by Allah, the god of the Muslims. He told Angel Gabriel to come down from Heaven and ask Muhammad to speak for Allah, get followers of Allah, to believe in Allah. Muhammad was born in “the Holy Place”, known as Mecca, in the year 570 A.D to his mother, Aminah Bint Wahb. Abdallah Ibn Abd Al Muttalib was his father, and the spouse of his mother. The whole “Islamic Government” was created from scratch. “Islam is a constitutional government … ,the rulers are subject to a certain set of conditions in governing or administering the country…” This government was called “Caliphate”, which originates as the arabic word ḵalīfa, meaning successor (of Muhammad).Caliphate was made under the Constitution of Medina that was led by some of Muhammad’s disciples who were also known as the Rightly Guided. Modern Government of Islam is now still being used, if not wholly, then partially. In most places the constitution is being partially followed. Most people adopted the title under the constitution around the 1900’s, but people had it long before that, then more popular government types took over the Islamic area, and are still being used, though Caliphate is being used in some areas still
