Islam is one of the growing religion in the US. The religion appears with its prophet Muhammad in the seventh century in the Arabian Peninsula. Islam is practiced as a monotheistic religion that recognizes only one God (Allah). In a century, it spreads over a part of Asia, North Africa and even Southern Europe. The belief in the oneness of God was of paramount importance and everything flowed from it. The verses of the Qur 'an strongly emphasize the oneness of God, warn against those who reject imminent doom and proclaiming its infinite compassion towards those who submit to its will. The event of 9/11 has a huge impact on Muslim workers who have been described as terrorists. They have been treated differently and even more they have been seen as terrorists in their employment because of their religion, their religious beliefs and practices, and/or their request for accommodation (a change in a workplace rule or policy) of their religious beliefs and practices. But the law protects not only people who belong to traditional organized religions such as the Christian, Jewish, or other faiths, but all people who have sincerely held religious, ethical, or moral beliefs.
