As for other countries, religious freedom in nonexistent and the consequences for an individual practicing their faith is unthinkable. In Iran, numerous amounts of people are incarcerated for being Christians, Jews, or any other religion that is against Islam. Iran is only one country that serves as an example of religious persecution, but there are many other countries that have the same issue. In some countries, people are killed and tortured for believing in their religion. Numerous amounts of people have to hide their religion and can never express it because of persecutors.The United States is privileged to have religious freedom. Most people in America will never have to experience the pain and suffering that religious persecution can create.
