Now if there is not any polish to remove then they will skip this step and move on to clipping down the toe nails. After the toe nails are cut down one the one foot the pedicurist will begin to file and buff the nail to make it smooth. Next, they will have you swap feet, the one that’s in the tub will come out and the one that is out goes in. repeating the step that was done on the first foot and placing it back into the water. The next step would be to start to clean around the toe nail bed. She/he will ask for the original foot back to begin this process. One your foot is up on the towel it will be patted until the foot is damp instead of dripping wet. She/he will then start to push back the skin around the toe nail bed called the cuticle. At this point, the excess skin will be cut off using nippers or cuticle clippers; when all the toes are clear of excess skin you will swap out your feet. This step will also be repeated on the other foot. The final step during this part of the pedicure is the scrub the bottom of the foot. Depending on whether or not the bottom of the customers’ foot is smooth or rough there will be a different process.
