In the Ted Talk Meg Jay states, “When a lot has been pushed to your 30s, there is enormous thirtysomething pressure to jump-start a career, pick a city, partner up, and have two or three kids in a much shorter period of time. Many of these things are incompatible, and as research is just starting to show, simply harder and more stressful to do all at once in our 30s.” Postponing important life decisions can cause stress and lead to the inability to make the best of choices due to the limited options that come into play as one gets older. Twentysomething have more time to make good choices. They can seek higher education and exercise trial and error in order to find a career that best suits them. They have the ability to start healthy relationships and, in addition to this, the fertility of women peaks at the age of twenty-eight so they have better chances of starting a family.
