Derrickson explains that Complainant asked, “If the owners accept Section 8 applicants?” Derrickson told Complainant that, “Source of Income is a protected class in Cook County and any owner would have to consider their rental application. Your rental application cannot be turned down because of source of income and Section 8 falls under source of income.
