Introduction
What is a rhetorical analysis and why is it important to understand the meaning of this term? ‘Rhetoric’ is the art of persuasion through language in any subject, which could be implemented by speaking and writing. ‘Analysis’ is the processing of breaks the whole concept into smaller pieces and then examining how these parts fit together into one compelling idea. Therefore, if we refer to our case as student in LLD100A class, rhetorical analysis is the ability of the readers to use a critical reading and observe in which type of strategies the author uses to convince us to follow his ideas or point of views. Deutscher claims that mother tongue accustoms the mind to think in certain pattern, what causes the person to be aware of details and aspects that other language speakers don’t give them his mind. Eventually, it affects also to our reality perception, such as word gender, since "habits of speech are cultivated from the earliest age, it is only natural that they can settle into habits of mind that go beyond language itself, affecting your experiences, perceptions, associations, feelings, memories and orientation in the world” (p3). Good example of this is when English speaker going to dinner with friends, he doesn’t need to mention their gender, while Hebrew speaker can’t avoid this.
