Recently, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) has seen some scrutiny because of the way that public leads and tips were handled in the Parkland shooting, which may have resulted in absence of the violent attack. Following the scrutiny, the FBI is now increasing capability and following recommendations after their lessons learned. Although the FBI did not properly identify the Parkland shooting tip, they now have an increased awareness, documentation, and ability to block future attack plots that are distinguished through public leads and tips. Often businesses and governments, make effort to better themselves when criticism such as this take place. It is still best to contact local law enforcement and the FBI if you view any suspicious…

Kent State Shootings From 1955-1975 America fought a war that separated generations, and turned America 's youth against their own government, the Vietnam war. Due to this twenty year war many young males were drafted into the army, and America the land of the free became the land of deceit. As a result, throughout the nation there had been mass protests, and antiwar movements. On the tragic day of May 4th, 1970 demonstrators at Kent State University were ambushed by the Ohio National Guard, leading to the death of four students and injury of nineteen other students. The antiwar rally at Kent State University has become a symbol of the Vietnam war, demonstrating a nation divided both politically and socially.…

All around the world, there are controversies over police shootings and dirty police officers. Many people say that officers should wear cameras on their uniforms to prevent any other riots, such as the Michael Brown riots in Ferguson, St. Louis. Whenever there is a shooting and there are no bystanders to see what actually happened, there should be some sort of recording device with the officer to see what he is doing. When Police Officers sign up to join the force, they should be prepared for anything while they are in uniform. To keep people from causing a riot, because they say that the person was shot did not deserve it.…
In May of 1981, a 23-year-old African-American who was self proclaimed photographer and music talent scout named Wayne Bertram Williams was driving across a Chattahoochee River in Georgia where the FBI and Atlanta police officers were patiently awaiting the white station wagon which had drove away from the sound of a body hitting the water. In the spring of 1980, the city of Atlanta was stricken with fear that a killer was running ramped in the streets, taking the lives of young African-American teen aged boys in the unsettling pattern of strangulation which took place in the daytime. These disappearances and murder infuriated the African-American community simply because the police didn’t care about the disappearances and murders of African-American…

Rocxanne Dechamps said that he had a subsided mental capacity. " He put the gun at the head of his brother before so it's not the first time and he did that to his mom. It's not the first time he put a gun to somebody's head." said Rocxanne.…
Following recent events (involving multiple mass shootings and attacks) many people think that the laws on guns in the United States of America need to be much tighter. I am one of these people. At the moment, as soon as you cross the US border, you have the legal right to purchase yourself a fire arm for personal protection, sport and (apparently, in some unfortunate cases) carrying out an unreasoned mass shooting. This document serves to explain some of the holes in the American legal system. While my foremost problem is not with guns themselves, it is a fact that they are, in the first place, an inherent danger and owning them, in the first instance, causes more trouble than they’re worth.…
Sociology is the study of human behavior by looking at external influences that have happen to shaped an individual. Using a sociological perspective such as functionalism, conflict theory, helps to answer questions after a mass shooting. Such as why and what would drive someone to commit a mass shooting.
