The Ancient Greeks and Etruscans influence the art forms created by the Romans. The Greek Art was amusing to the Romans and soon after the Romans conquer the country of Greece, they decided to bring many Greek artist to Rome to make sculptures. Other influences like The ancient Egyptians, Germans, and the Celtics had influences on Roman Art but none was greater than the Greeks. One of the most famous form of ancient Roman art include roman mosaics. “Romans used mosaics to decorate floors and walls in homes and temples. They were a complex and beautiful art that often indicated the importance of a place or wealth of the home owner.” (Muscato). Roman Mosaics are images that created from combining very tiny pieces of colored glass or stone. During the Roman Empire these colored glass images was very popular throughout Italy. Another significant piece of art from the Ancient Roman Time period was the Arch of Constantine. The Arch of Constantine is located in Rome and it’s a triumphal arch. This arch was created to commemorate the victory Roman Emperor Constantine had over Maxentius in the battle of Milvian bridge. The ancient Chinese have been famous for many different forms of art. In each period of being ruled by a new leader in a new dynasty the specialty of the art changed. The Terracotta Army is a collection of Chinese soldiers that was apart the first Emperor of China. “In March 1974, a group of peasants digging a well in drought-parched Shaanxi province in northwest China unearthed fragments of a clay figure—the first evidence of what would turn out to be one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of modern times.” (Lubow).
