Both of them killed themselves not to see each other in another life, but to end their own suffering so they wouldn’t need to bear the pain of their one true love dying out. If both of them weren’t so selfish then the story would have gone to an extent where not only did they end their own selfish needs but they would spend their next eternity together. Also, if Romeo wasn’t so hasty to kill himself so quickly then he would have seen Juliet. It would have taken just one more minute for him to not have such an urgent need to end his own suffering to then be reunited with his love. When Juliet wakes up and remorses over Romeo’s death she says “Death, that hath sucked the honey of thy breath, hath had no power yet upon thy beauty.” ( Act III. Scene V. Line 100) There’s nothing more to what she said considering the fact she couldn’t have said anything about his personality or the times she spent with him, instead it was about how he looked. Of course she couldn’t have said anything about him because they hardly knew each other but was ready to run away together and spend their life
