Introduction Social work is a professional discipline that aims at improving the social welfare of individuals, families, groups and communities, through teaching and various interventions. It provides social justice to the marginalized members of the society, including the poor, the mentally and physically ill, the disabled, and those who’s civil and human rights have been violated. The social worker should formulate ways of engaging the client and creating a relationship. This enables him to collect data needed to assess the client, formulate and implement and evaluate an action plan for the client. • Access to health care: being a citizen, and also a member of the Army Reserve, she and her family are entitled to health benefits and have access to proper medical care.
• Impact of the crisis event: Rosa experienced no discrimination at school, and succeeded academically. When she was seventeen she became pregnant and disappointed her family, but she managed to redeem herself by Joining the United States Army Reserve, and going back to college to study social work. She is now a professional social worker
• Contact with cultural practices: the client feels it is important to maintain her heritage, and keeps close relations within her community and speaks Spanish. She is strongly rooted in her Catholic faith, supported by her community.
• Discrimination or bias: she has experienced none.
• Values on work and education: she went back and successfully completed her degree course in social work, and is a professional social worker. Rosa encourages her siblings and cousins to continue with their education.

The intersection in the education system comes about because she gets to inform and educate the social service system about immigration. In her job as social worker, she is the best to handle people of her culture, and give true and proper information from assessments concerning immigrants. Rosa has a Bachelor’s degree in Social work and is employed by DCFS. There is an intersection because she is employed by the government, and they need her for assessment and advice concerning immigrants. The employment intersection occurs from her Army Reserve position, where she gets employment and, in return, she gets to serve her community. Social intersection occurs, as the Mexican community mingles with the American community. Formation of friendships and intermarriages will bring about an interaction between the two or even more
