This study describes the method of using the Ecological Footprint in the process of clarifying the different losses to biodiversity (Galli et al.,2014). The ecological footprint looks at “the ecological assets – that a population requires to produce the renewable resources and ecological services it uses.” (Galli et al. 122). There were to different ecological footprint calculations that were used to collect data. The equation EFC= EFP + EFI -EFE was used to calculate the Ecological Footprint of consumption and EF =Pi/YW,I X EQFi was used to calculate the Ecological Footprint of production. The reason why I want to include this article in my research paper is because it creates an image and provides data that shows how much humans effect our environment. Our Ecological Footprint is bigger than we think it is and having information that allows us to visualize how much damage we have done makes us more aware of our surroundings and how we can prevent further damage to
