The single adult, whether Christian or not, whether spiritual or not, must realize that he is a member of the human race and as such in need of redemption. This is one of the keys to living a successful life as a Christian. Singles should remember that God’s opinion of them is the one that really matters. Our identity doesn’t depend on something that we do or don’t do. It doesn’t depend on what we’ve done in the past. Our true identity is who Father God says we are. What matters is that we recognize that we are redeemed and loved by God. Your season of singleness should be a time of excitement and discovery for you. This is the time to discover who you are in Christ and embrace the person God has created you to be. Experience this love that God has so freely given to you, so you can properly share it with others that enter your life. As the book of John states “Behold, what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called the children of God. And that is what we are!” (1 John 3.1).
