The essential reasons as to why the separation of powers was constructed was to first ensure that each branch of government hold a certain infinite amount of power and authority (Docs Of Freedom, n.d.) but at the same time, to ensure that none of the three branches of government, could outweigh the other when in power. This system was also devised so that none would be jealous of the other when making essential or vital decisions for the nation. The checks and balance system, this system ensures the nation’s security and liberty (Wei, n.d.).
