One of the main concerns that made me want to do this project is that school lunch tends to be bad. Most of the time they serve food that isn’t fresh and not the greatest in nutritional value. Having fresh food to eat will make the students look forward to eating lunch every day. I remember being in middle school and refereeing to lunch as school food and not good food. Teaching kids that skill early on in life will help them become self-sustained, healthy adults. Growing up I realized that I had no clue how to grow food and tend a garden, having learned some of these skills in school would have help me out so much. Kids are the future of our nation/world, teaching them to grow food is good for the environment and the world. Having a garden can even promote a healthy eating habit, also a vital skill to have.
