Abstract Sexual tolerance is great in the United States of America. Americans have embraced the diverse sexual choices and sexual orientation. Though they are marginalized groups, they are socially challenged. The legalization of same-sex marriage has enhanced acceptance of homosexuality. America has embraced diversified sexual orientation. However, Americans have different degrees of tolerance to this diverse sexual orientation. Most Americans are faced with the challenge of accepting the new law based on sexual orientation. Different attitudes have been developed since same-sex marriage was legalized. These radical attitudes have emanated from the different religious and cultural beliefs of the citizens of America. The legalization of same-sex marriage has led to the acceptance of this sexual orientation as moral. Since the legalization of the same-sex marriage, Americans are increasingly becoming tolerant to gay and lesbianism. Americans are embracing the various policies formulated on same-sex orientation. Moreover, Americans are becoming socially tolerant to the changes made regarding transgender issues. With more women being recruited in the military, America has become the center of focus also on transgender issues. Since the legalization of same-sex marriage, Americans have changed their attitude on gays and lesbians. The last two decades have exhibited an increased support for gays and …show more content…
However, America is a center of diversified sexual orientation that also include transgender. Because of the diversity in sexual orientation, homosexuals and bisexuals became marginalized. Some policies have been enacted to help protect these marginalized groups. Americans’ sexual tolerance has increased that they have comfortably embraced these marginalized groups. United States acceptance of sexual orientation and gender choices has led to a society that embraces gender choices and distinct sexual orientation. Currently, Americans have embraced transgender individuals, homosexuals and bisexuals. Discrimination based on sexual orientation has ceased as Americans are supporting these marginalized groups. The attitude towards gender choices and sexual orientation in America is overwhelming. Policies formulated by the government due to the massive support from the Americans protects homosexuals, bisexual and transgender from discrimination based on their sexual choices.
