I could name several advantages and/or disadvantages, so here are some main ones about a market economy. There are many different perspectives on a market economy, some people may like the individualism it involves. This economy was established to eliminate lazy people and increase the self-reliance factor of the country. But, there are some key disadvantages to this type of economy as well. For example, there is a large gap between the rich and the poor which then creates a greedy, materialistic society that we do not need. Another big factor to a market economy is that there is no social safety net. This means that you get no help when you’re stuck in poverty which is really unfortunate.

A mixed economy in my view is a way better economy than a market. It provides us with a social safety net that can support ourselves if we ever are in danger of heading into poverty. Yes, the taxes may be higher but we may get some money back when done handing in our taxes. If you like the market economies style of competition, it still exists in a mixed economy as well as cooperation. Both those subjects will be included in this economy.
