According to Mr. Erving Goffman "Front stage" and "back stage" are concepts in sociology that suggest the different manners of behavior/performance that people engage in every day. Erving Goffman broke down social life as a performance all the time. Goffman then broke down performance into three parts: front stage, back stage, and off stage. Front stage is where people/performers are on stage in front of other people where as other people is also known as an audience. This is where people/performers give off a positive or negative aspect or role in which they are performing. Back stage is where people/performers are allowed to be them self and just relax. Back stage is also where people/performers get themselves ready for the front stage where they will perform. For example, you know that you have an interview in a few hours so you spend your time “back stage” preparing for that interview so when you get to the “front stage” in front of the interviewer you are well prepared for that
