I believe a teen can never have anything to become or stay “attractive.” The only things in life people need is a personality, that's attractive to everyone! I never make my friends based on what they are wearing when I meet them, it's always on how they act towards me. If their personality stands out to me then of course i'm going to keep them as a friend, they don't need nice hair, or the most expensive clothes. How does this affect the self esteem? Self esteem is a major factor in life, I believe most people are never going to become happy with their own body image, due to magazines and icons. Magazines show girls who are a size 1 or girls who are really pretty with makeup and Botox. How does this affect my self esteem? I can understand they go through a tough lifestyle, to stay that little, or they have to be monitored with food and drinks, so this doesn’t bother me, i was told at a young age, weight shouldnt matter, you shouldn’t change for anyone, “If they don't like you at your worst, they don't deserve you at your best.” As far as other women in today's society, I am imaging it to be very hard. Going back to the model’s and icons, girls want to become or look like their favorite famous person and they can’t if she’s a size 0 and I’m a size 8. How can I overcome my self esteem? Three out of six were happy with their physique. The three that said they weren't happy with their physique said they needed to diet and workout to fix the “issue” they were having. DId they feel pressure to meet a certain expectation of beauty or manliness? Five out of six said yes they felt like they need to meet standard in life of beauty or manliness. Do they females diet frequently? Three out of four said they don't diet frequently, or as frequently as they would like to. Would the men consider taking supplements to build muscle two out of two said no they wouldn’t. If they could visit a plastic surgeon and have work done for free would they, three out off six said they would and even asked if you knew anyone. These answer surprised me, mainly the teens who responded, I expect more teens to say they could diet, or take a plastic sergeon when most the teenages said they kind of fine with their body, or just not willing to change to make it better for them. As for me I have been having issues with my body lately, and I try to go on a diet to help, but as for a family and a boyfriend who feels the needs to buy or make desserts, they are making it very hard to stay on this diet. I have cut back on serving size as well to help contribute to the weight lost, but I need to watch the sweets as
