We are given 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week, and 12 months in a year to get things done. Let’s break that down into minutes! That equals 1,440 minutes per day, 10,080 minutes per week, and 525,600 minutes per calendar year to do what we need to do. When it comes to the term “Do it now and Talk Later”, it simply means just what it says! What are you doing with your time? Are you getting things done? Many of us say that we wish that we had more time, but what does that actually mean! Are you organized? Do you have a planner and/or calendar that you make notes in and/or friendly reminders about appointments, timelines, and events? It is not time that is the true issue here! Are we making things happen or just talking? When you network and share ideas with others, who may potentially be able to help you complete tasks, be sure to speak with a purpose in mind and form a partnership that will help you to reach your end goal(s). You should also establish and/or describe what you do and what you hope to potentially achieve in the near future. Then, take a look at your progress towards achieving your goal(s) and determine what’s holding you back. Are you spending too much time on the phone? Do you talk more than you do? Are you actually doing what you say you are going to do? The word commitment also plays a part in “doing it now and talking later”. Can you be held accountable for your actions? Are you dependable or unreliable? You see, the term “do it now and talk later” requires action to take place and that action should result in change. If there is no change in progress, then something is wrong and your plan of action needs to be re-evaluated along with your mindset. “Doing it now and talking later” is the only way to truly make dreams happen. If your dream(s) has not come to pass, then you need to consider this term and put it to use in your everyday
