There are several ideological variations in the forms of the welfare state like social democratic, liberal, and conservatives and Latin welfare state. However, the ideological inspiration for the liberal welfare states shape public policies much different. The goal is to minimize government interventions and disincentives to work. This system receives an enormous amount of recognition across the globe, only because it has done an unbelievable job at hiding its flaws. The system itself is mainly built from the health of Canadians and services that they receive. The government’s role, is to shape the Canadian health care system in a way that enhances the welfare of its citizens. “It is one of the greatest of contemporary social injustices that people who live in the most disadvantaged circumstances have more illness, more disability and shorter lives than those who are more affluent” (Raphael 2002). The focus of the Canadian social determinants of health include, education, employment and working conditions, and several other factors that shape the Canadian health. However, what is the social determinants of health? The two main social determinants of health that play a part our health care system. The economic and social conditions not only influence individuals, but communities and jurisdictions as a whole. But, how do the social determinants shape health? Health conditions can shape the social determinants in numerous ways. Components like health, shelter, food and the ability to take part in society contributes in shaping the healthcare system. It can cause side effects like stress and anxiety which can mentally affect individuals. It enhances the inadequate health care services that affect the public. Furthermore, limiting people’s choices and militates against desirable changes in behaviour. The social structure of health structure to health and disease via material, psychosocial and behaviour pathways. The two types of approaches toward health inequalities such as the materialistic and the neo-materialist approach. Materialistic approach explains how health inequalities differ from accumulations of exposures and experiences that have their sources in the material world. Contrarily, the neo-materialistic
