An individual should be physically active at least 150 min/week at moderate intensity, or 60 to 75 min/week at vigorous intensity. A body weight regulation is a beneficial effect of physical activity. Menopause is often described as an increase in waistline circumference and fat mass (FM). Women on their postmenopausal stage with more adipose tissue are more susceptible to metabolic complications than those physically fit postmenopausal women. (Ele´onor Riesco, PhD,1,2 et. al, 2010) There is a unique benefit from exercise to these women for a reason that it could increase the total and abdominal weight gain after menopause. When there is a body fat, abdominal fat, and adult weight gain there would also an increase of postmenopausal risk of breast cancer. In this stage of their life, menopausal women face a lot of changes in the body which may lead to loss of interest on health related fitness.
