Strengths:
• Size –The capabilities and resources that the organization has to date is by far the largest in the industry. This strength would be a positive since we have more resources and knowledge available to help aid in the crafting of a customer value proposition. This lack of training has and can translate into a lack of product knowledge on the products we manufacture. I have specifically seen this lack of product knowledge when dealing with some of our internal customers that I deal with on a daily basis. This is a major weakness that needs to be addressed as quickly as possible. If employees in the organization have little to no training and a lack of product knowledge, then this would be a negative. If an employee cannot even tout the benefits of the products we produce, then there is no way they could determine a point of difference or parity in our competitor’s products. Overall, I would say the level of training overall in the organization is very good for employees hired pre 2008, but it has been lacking in the last five years for the limited amount of new employees …show more content…
Our metal components division has a product line called NuRoof that can be used to retrofit an existing building. This product offering is a nice alternative to constructing a new building. This product can be used to change the roof geometry of an existing building to make it look more modern at a fraction of the cost when compared to the cost associated with constructing a new building. Being able to have this included in a value proposition, we can help our customers save money and achieve their goals by suggesting this product
