Specisism says that all humans are better than animals. There are two types of theorists when it comes to animal welfare: traditionalists and abolitionists. The arguments for animal welfare is that they provide food and there is no pain in going through with animal welfare. The only persons who don’t benefit from animal welfare are vegans and vegetarians because they don’t eat any type of meat. Another argument for animal welfare is experimentation. Specifically, using animals to see if certain products will be harmful to humans. A lot of the sexual acts that occur in society is based off of whether or not there is consent. The main sexual act that consent matters in is rape cases. In a lot of these cases, women and sometimes men don’t consent to sleep with the individuals who rape them. That is why they win more often the lawsuits that they call into court. Additionally, these are six deeds of the fourteen acts under the main point of perversion: pedophilia (no consent), bestiality, fetishism, masturbation, incest, and necrophilia. All of these sexual acts based on my own moral judgements are wrong except for masturbation and fetishism. Nicholas Dixon, a professor at Alma College, argues that there are some difficulties for the ideas for criminalizing impaired sex. Also, Mike Martin, a professor at Chapman University, agrees with the morality of adultery and that a rule-oriented approach is unsatisfactory. I disagree with this idea because I believe that adultery is immoral because of my religion. I grew up in the Christian faith and it says that adultery is wrong because when a couple gets married they should keep their vow of being faithful onto each other.
