Significant knowledge and information can be taken from the process of research that involves collection and analysis of data. However, not all reports have a good quality of evidence and some studies are found to be biased (Wood, 2006). Therefore, critical appraisal is an important skill to decide whether the study is reliable and effective enough to be implemented (Porritt et al., 2014). The purpose of this paper is to critically appraise two reviews (a systematic review and a narrative review) by using Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) tool and then compare and contrast the differences between the two reviews.
