In Chapter 9 in our text, Piaget discusses stages of cognitive development, each stage of life requires different developments that leads into mastery of other stages. In stage one from birth to 2 years old, coordination, sensory and memory input, and motor responses are developed. In stage two from 2 to 7 years old, symbolic thought, centration and egocentrism are developed. In stage three from 7 to 11 years old, mastery of conservation, hierarchal classification and mental operations to concrete events are developed. Lastly in stage 4 from 11 years to adulthood, logical and systematical thinking, and mental operations applied through abstract ideas are developed. The video was very informative and gave a plethora of information about the issues that occur when someone does not get enough sleep on a daily basis. The only issue I had on the talk was how her information was sometimes scattered, at one point she would talk about the symptoms of sleep deprivation to how we go to sleep and then back to symptoms. Honestly I do believe that this talk will help people understand the need of sleep. Around our age we need at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep, and just reading the symptoms and problems that could occur in the future was an eye opener. This Ted talk will help others comprehend how much sleep they really need and in the end help them to hopefully try to sleep better and longer
