The great emphasis in invention and innovation in product development exposes the company when it comes to marketing. Rather than doing aggressive marketing, the company focuses on technological advancements of products. Notably, this can be seen by the company’s overreliance in its distributors throughout the world. Even though the company has a high-quality brand, the lack of marketing weakens the company’s ability to reach and venture into new markets. Additionally, Texas Instruments excels mainly in supplying of products to intermediaries other than retailing. The inability of the company to be a player in retailing threatens its market position. Retailers are always in contact with the customers thus they are aware of the dynamics of the market.
