Many people go for it to improve their health. It has been proven to decrease a person’s stress levels, increase mental, physical, and psychological health. Before starting a massage session the massage therapist has to ask question about the client’s health condition. If the client is one with a disability, the therapist should ask enough questions in order to know how that disability affects the rest of that client’s body before he or she start massaging. There are also different massage techniques used by massage therapist. Some of them are light weight to the client like the Swedish and Prenatal massages, while others like deep tissues massages and sport massages are a little more aggressive as these target deeper body tissues.
Just like everything else in life, there are both pros and cons to the art of massage therapy. However, the pros outweigh the cons as there is a great need for good health and as less stress as possible. It increases blood circulation and release pressure points. Some cons however of massage therapy is that they are expensive and can also be time consuming. If a therapist does not ask enough questions to the client before the start of the session this could lead to accidental Injury because the therapist could unknowingly massage an injured part
